Earth Science Week 2023
From 8 to 14 October 2023 Earth Science Week will celebrate the theme Geoscience Innovating for Earth and People, emphasising the way innovations in the geosciences are helping communities to create increasingly sustainable lives, while accelerating environmental problem-solving.
The week will see the Geological Society host two exciting science-themed film screenings at our historical Piccadilly venue: one designed for students and early career researchers and the other as a free film afternoon for families – with crafts, activities, a raffle, and a science pack to take home.
From June 2023, we will also host a ‘Storytelling Competition’. Participants are invited to explore the week’s theme via a media submission of their choice, with three top prizes and the chance to have their work displayed.
