Geoscientist wins two Highly Commended trophies
We are delighted to announce that Geoscientist was awarded two Highly Commended trophies – for Best Magazine (under 20K circulation) and Best Publication – by Memcom, at their 2025 Excellence Awards ceremony, which took place in London on 25 September 2025.
These categories are exceptionally competitive, and we were honoured simply to be shortlisted. To receive this award is a truly humbling recognition.
The awards celebrate the dedication of our whole community over the past few years: our hardworking editors (Amy Whitchurch, Hannah Bird and Marissa Lo) who keep the magazine thriving day to day; the brilliant teams at James Pembroke Media and Redactive, who bring it to life and ensure it reaches our readers; and, most importantly, our amazing volunteers – our inspiring Editors-in-Chief (Ruth Allington, Andy Fleet and David Shilston) and Editorial Advisory Panel, together with our incredible authors and contributors – all of whom so generously give their time to help us share the wonder of geoscience and inspire audiences everywhere.
