Would you like to play a key role in delivering the Society’s purpose, vision, mission, and values? We welcome nominations for a new President designate and Council members.
Council members are trustees of the Geological Society. Council members serve for three years, as does the President designate: one year as President designate and two as President. Trustees oversee big strategic decisions and ensure the Society is fulfilling its purposes for the public benefit, acting in the charity’s best interests, managing resources responsibly, being accountable, and acting in accordance with the rules.
The Society is committed to a diverse and inclusive Council and encourages nominations from Fellows across the geoscience community including under-represented groups.
